Production
Silicon fume powder is also known as micro silica or condensed silica fume, which is a large amount of highly volatile SiO2 and Si gas generated by ferroalloy in smelting ferrosilicon and industrial silicon (silicon metal). After gas emission, it is rapidly oxidized, condensed and precipitated with air.
Micro silicon powder is a kind of smoky gray ultrafine powder. With the amount of carbon content, the color changes slightly. The whiteness of 40-50 is about 200 kg/m3, and the true density is 2.2 g/cm3. Most of the silica fume particles are less than 1 um and the finest is 0.01 um. Because the specific surface area of silica fume is very large, it has good pozzolanic activity and filling property.
Application
The research on the comprehensive development and utilization of silicon fume powder resources began in the 1950s, and by the end of the 1960s, there had been engineering applications.
After long-term research and practice, micro silicon powder was applied in cement, chemical industry, rubber, construction industry, water conservancy, electrical engineering, civil engineering, highway construction, port bridge brine engineering and other fields.
