2.The use of Silicon metal
The main raw materials of metal silicon are silica, petroleum coke, wood chips, etc., which are smelted by electric furnace and  classified  according to trace elements. The main purpose is to produce aluminum ingots and aluminum products, which are alloying"agents(hardeners) in iron and aluminum.
 
3.Recent price trend of metallic silicon: In late April, the purchasing plan of silicon metal downstream factories was slow, with a small number of inquiries but no plans to place orders, and the wait-and-see mood was heavy. For silicon metal factories around the country, the current cost is running at a high level, and the willingness to continue to make concessions is low, especially for silicon factories in areas with high electricity costs, local governments have no subsidies or cancel subsidies, the cost will continue to run at a high level, and the continued concessions will make the cost upside down. At present, the quotations of silicon factories around the country remain stable, and the concession space is very limited.
